Technical Pre Sales Consultant

Role
- You will provide support to the Sales Team on Managed Services and Collocation Services using the organizations platform and technology.
- You will be responsible for designing technical solutions translating customer’s needs into technical projects.
- Working closely with the Sales Team and Partners to establish credibility with customers about the superiority of services. This includes on site visits, conference calls, presentations, technical evaluations, handling technical objections and follow-up on all customer related issues.
- Provide specific technology solutions, product consulting, technical design, and pre-sales support to the sales team and the customers.
- Develop responses, from the technical point of view, to RFIs and RFPs, ensuring that all technical information and recommendations address customer requirements.
- Interact with customers and internal organizations to provide input to product marketing and development.
- Maintain a high level of understanding of current products and services, as well as planned enhancements.
- Coaching and mentoring the Sales Team in technical best practices.
- Interface with enterprise customers (direct and channels: distributors/VARs/Reps).
- Acting as interface between Sales and Implementation teams. Responsible for obtaining approval from Implementations and Operations for special technical projects.
- You will be report to the Vice President of Pre-Sales, Europe.
Profile
Education
- You have a University degree in Technology (Computer Science, Information Technology, etc);
Experience
- Minimum two years of experience in IT, Data Center and Hosting services;
- Industry certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, etc. are a plus;
- A good understanding of technologies such as: Server Operating Systems (Linux/Unix/ Solaris/ Windows), Clusters, Virtualization, Databases, Applications, email platforms, Security (Firewalls, Intrusion Detection, VPN, etc.) Storage platforms, Backup, Network Design (routing, switching, VLAN, etc.), Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity, Data Replication, etc.
- Proficient in excel, Word, Powerpoint, MS Project & Visio
- A business background will be preferre.

- You like to stay current and proficient on existing and emerging relevant technologies through self-study, company provided training and manufacturer provided training
- You are available to travel when needed.
- Proactively suggest ways to improve work related tasks, service offering and customer relationship
- You are a team player.
Languages
- Excellent knowledge of English and Dutch, spoken as well as written
