The Legal department supports Avnet’s business in the EMEA region, from 2 locations, Brussels and Munich. The EMEA Contracts Management Group is looking to further strengthen its Brussels’ based team with a Legal Counsel contracts

 

Role

 

The legal counsel contracts will :

 

1.       Manage contracts for both operating groups, Electronics Marketing and Technology Solutions, throughout their life-cycle : developing, drafting, negotiating, closing, administering and managing standard and non-standard contracts, in close collaboration with the inhouse and outside lawyers and business representatives. 

2.       Identify critical issues associated with creating new or revising existing contracts.

3.       Negotiate with vendors and contracts during contract development and review.

4.       Participate in a company-wide project: the preparation, development, implementation and management of a sophisticated contract creation and filing system.

 

The position will be based in Brussels (Belgium).

 

Profile

Education

 

  

-          Master’s degree in law obtained with good results.

Experience

 

-          A minimum of 3 years of experience in drafting and negotiating business contracts, either as an inhouse lawyer or as a lawyer within a reputable law firm practicing in business law.
