“ACCOUNT MANAGER HPI/CPI”

This international company is a leading global supplier of water treatment, waste water treatment and process systems solutions.
The products and services are used to optimise total water process system performance, safeguard customer assets from corrosion, fouling and scaling, and protect the environment through water and energy conservation.
He or she will report to the Area manager HPG Benelux.
Our client is looking for an Account Manager for the area Rotterdam.
Role
primary responsibilities
- Growth through expansion of our presence on site through sale in HPI/CPI customer segments & by generating leads working with commercial development on customized opportunities to close.
- Accountable for the effective & profitable management of growing existing customer relationships & retaining current business
- Driving the sales process on assigned new business opportunities, effectively attacking competitor hold business and turning these opportunities into new growth business for the organization.
- Works with current & potential customers to provide value & meet service needs.
- Provide technical assistance her/himself or through the field service personnel.
- Provide the customer with written advise on the proper functioning of the process and water treatments
- Plan, organize and attend the review meetings.
- Provide regularly sales forecast by quarter, communicate changes and plan sales forecast for the following year when required.
- Take every opportunity to increase « cost of change » for the customer.
- Maintain written records on all important activities, changes and inform manager about each significant problem and on the competition.
- Take responsibility for personal development/knowledge on process and water treatment technology, IT, customer negotiations and sales .
- Provide manager with weekly report.
Profile
Education
- We prefer a bachelors degree in technical engineering, chemical process technology or chemicals.
Experience
- You have 3 to 5 years commercial technical experience within an industrial environment, preferred in the refinery and petrochemical business.
- Understanding of customer needs and the value that the organizations brings to the customer.

· Good communication and negotiation skills.

· PC literate.
Languages
- Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English.
