To strengthen the 27 FTE team in the Brussels office, we are looking for an "Experienced Financial Controller" -
Experience in controlling / interest in venture capital / open for a more sustainable world.
YOUR KEY ROLE:
Reporting to the Financial Lead and working closely with the investment team, who will evaluate and appraise investments, you will …
• ensure accurate and timely financial close on all levels (GPs, feeder, BE/FR Support office, master fund and side vehicles): coordination with different administrators,
• prepare quarterly LP reporting in the reporting tool (Fundrbird),
• be the main point of contact in the audit process (prelim and year-end),
• coordinate with service providers on tax and VAT related questions,
• assist in budget and forecast exercise (GP & Fund(s)) and monitor on a consolidated level variances vs actuals,
• plan the cashflow,
• manage the day-to-day relationship with the fund administrator and the fund AIFM,
• approve payments and monitor expenses,
• monitor invoicing cycle,
• monitor VAT and Tax filings by service providers,
• execute ad hoc assignments and financial analysis.
PROFILE:
• With a Bachelors / Masters’ degree in Economics, Accounting, Corporate Finance or similar, you have several years of relevant experience in controlling and reporting. Experience in financial controlling is key.
• You are fluent in English (company internal communication language) plus at least one other European language (Dutch / French highly regarded). You embrace diversity of different cultures.
• You are used (or open) to work in a small environment, with short decision lines and a hands-on mentality.
